Herlinda's my name and I’m a lady who comes from two Salvadorian parents (El Salvador, Central America). I’m the third of four siblings and am very close to my family. I was born in Los Angeles in October of 1976 and live in San Francisco, California. I enjoy many hobbies that have inspired and lead me to my academic accomplishments and current jobs.
Education:
I have a Liberal Arts Associates degree, a certificate in web design, sound production, and office Microsystems (a fancy term for office software). In total I have five years of education and I was in the Army Reserves – honorably discharged in 2000. I chose to keep my skills diversified and so far it’s worked!
Jobs & Career:
For a steady income, I work part time as a Bookkeeper and Human Resources assistant. Though this job is not an artfully creative one, I love what I do. I enjoy the details and organization of it. Writing about organization, I’m super organized, clean, detailed oriented, and disciplined. I'm a team player but prefer to work solo on various projects, hence I chose this career. The other part of my time I spend trying to get this web design career up and running seriously - before it was just a hobby. Though it’s not a steady income, I wish to put more effort and make something more than a hobby out of it. I teach myself new techniques and even thought myself PHP – a programming language for dynamic websites. (I’m not pro, but at least I did my first website in PHP!) That’s one of the reasons why it took so long to get this website updated.
My work ethics are very high. As mentioned earlier, I’m very organized, detailed oriented, clean disciplined, and am very observant of everything and everyone. I’m a very take-charge/control person and expect the same from those working with me. If I see something that can be improved or be more efficient, I will try to make that change. If I notice a change should be made for the safe security of someone else, I will recommend it. I try to be honest in everything I do – even if it risks my relationship or job.
I’m new to this whole sole propriety business (I'm my own boss now), so I make my mistakes. I will accept responsibility for my actions even if it’s a loss. I try to be optimistic and have a positive attitude in the good and bad situations. I always try to keep in mind that I must always take responsibility for my actions, decisions, and accept criticism and make the necessary changes to grow and change for the better in my professional and personal life.
It is my wish in Lord Jesus name that my life changes and this pursuit of making this part of my life take off and come true. “Amen!”
